We are pleased to announce that Sacred Heart Canossian College has paired up with Jinan Shungeng Middle School to form sister schools.

Jinan Shungeng Middle School is a full-time public ordinary junior high school directly under the Jinan Education Bureau in the province of Shandong, China. The school places great importance on providing an education with knowledge and virtues, and established the cultural concept of ‘AI in Shungeng’. There is much to be shared on the school philosophy and educational beliefs of the two sister schools.

With the liaison and help from Ms Lusan Hung, member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Shandong Province and former Chairperson of SHCC Alumnae Association, Sr Veronica led a group of teachers to visit Jinan Shungeng Middle School for further exchange and meetings with the principal and officials of the school. The sister school contract was signed on 16 May 2023 by the two principals to mark the beginning of the bonding and collaboration.

A blueprint for the sister school exchanges was devised soon after the contract signing. It is hoped that the exchanges will foster a deeper understanding of the students about school lives and cultures of the two schools; improve the professional development of the teachers; as well as facilitate the sustainable development of both schools.

We would like to express our gratitude to Ms Lusan Hung for her dedication to this collaboration. Her effort has certainly opened up new opportunities for Sacred Heartists to widen their horizons and create a closer bonding with their counterparts in Mainland China.

聖心舜耕 耕耘心田

校長霍慧敏修女帶領本校教師團隊遠赴山東省濟南市，於二零二三年五月十六日與濟南舜耕中學楊國營校長共同簽訂「姊妹學校合作交流協議」。鳴謝山東政協委員兼前校友會主席熊璐珊女士的牽線及協助，促成港魯兩校締結成為姊妹學校。

濟南舜耕中學位於龍山文化發祥地的濟南，為全日制公辦普通初級中學。濟南舜耕中學以德育人，堅守「載舜華德，志耕天下」的校訓，秉持「AI在舜耕」的文化理念，傳承齊魯文化；與本校重視學生的全人發展及心靈陶育的教育理念不謀而合。

兩校簽訂交流協議後，初步規劃了合作藍圖，期望透過兩校日後的交流，加深學生對兩地校園生活及文化的瞭解，提升教師的教學素質，進一步推動兩校的持續發展，以達到姊妹合作耕耘教化，培育學習種子的目的。

祝願港魯兩校師生合作無間，創造多元的學習機會，拓寬學習的深度與廣度，為兩地合作持續發展開創新篇章。
