The Careers and Further Studies Team organised the Careers Live for all S5 students to explore different workplace settings and work nature of different careers.
Participants spent good quality time to acquire knowledge and skills required in different fields and professions, and immediately apply them in the career simulation game ‘Career Live’. Some assumed professional roles such as nurses, occupational therapists and Chinese medicine practitioners. Others took pride in entrepreneurship, sketching marketing plans, or becoming fashion buyers, advertising directors and producers. Esports commentators, engineers and competitors appealed to students who sought excitement. For those who are amiable, they had a taste of being flight attendants, serving at hotel concierge, reception counters or helping with room keeping and or being waitresses.
Students enjoyed hands-on experiences and the satisfaction of being able to try out different professions. They also realised the importance of workplace manners and the need for essential soft skills in various professions.
