To develop S1 students’ positive values and caring mindsets through volunteering from a young age, the Service Learning and Community Service Coordination Team held a service learning programme on 29 September 2023.

S1 students enjoyed three hours of class time supported with online learning to learn core values and relevance of volunteering on theme-based content about selected social issues. They were guided through  ‘Plan, Serve & Reflect’  experiential learning, including developing and acting on ‘good deeds’ as part of the curriculum.

Through the programme, students learnt the qualities of a good volunteer, taking steps to volunteer, deepening their understanding on selected social issues such as ageing and elderly care.
