The ceremony began with Sr Veronica, our Principal, addressing our graduates and reminding them to show gratitude in everything they do. Sister also presented major feedback from the Education Bureau on the External School Review before mentioning her retirement and the beginning of a new adventure. She thanked the long-service teachers for their dedication and commitment to the school and reminded S6 students to always be grateful for what they have and who they have in their lives.

Following that, Ms Karen Chan presented graduate certificates to our graduates. Then, Sr Agnes, Mr Cheuk, Ms Yip, Ms Ang and Sr Veronica all presented prizes to our outstanding graduates for their hard work and achievements in different areas.

After the certificates and prizes were presented, Ms Karen Chan, our alumna, executive director of a major corporation in Hong Kong and fashion designer, addressed the graduates. She reminded them to have passion in what they do and to ensure that they find purpose and meaning in their lives. She also stressed the importance of giving back to society as it makes us valuable and more appreciative.

Hailey Chow, the Head Girl, gave a vote of thanks on behalf of all graduates. She related the school journey of the graduates to the Bible and shared wonderful stories from their school lives. The graduates were grateful for each other, the school and their parents, and they will continue spreading gratitude, charity and humility in their new chapters of life.

Sr Agnes and Sr Veronica presented a souvenir to Ms Rosa Choy to congratulate on her retirement and for her dedication to the school. At the same time, they presented the Long Service Awards to Ms Leung Hoi Yan, Mr Andy Lo, Mr Anthony Mo and Mr William Yuh for their commitment to the school. As they expressed their appreciation to our dedicated staff members, Sr Agnes and Sr Veronica also announced their retirement.

As a final surprise, the SHCC School Choir gave an impeccable performance of the ‘Jubilant Song of Shanzhai’ composed by Xiaogeng Liu to finish a memorable evening. The Graduation Day was drawn close with the School Song.
