Easter Celebration 2024-2025

On 28 April 2025, we commemorated Christ’s resurrection with the Easter Celebration. The message of the celebration this year is ‘Pilgrims of Hope’.

We began with a Bible reading that brought us back to the assurance of new life in Christ, the Risen LORD, in the Holy Scriptures. A drama about renewal and reconciliation staged by students presented two schoolmates standing tall against their own difficulties by seeking advice to reconcile with their project group members and reach out to assist the younger ones.

Father Daniel Kim, our special guest, played a part in the drama, inspiring us with his advice to admit one’s shortcomings and reconcile. He suggested embracing different opinions and willingness to take the initiative to reconcile differences with people who dislike us.  At the end, Father Kim spoke of his response to God’s calling to his priesthood despite his limitations.

A Kahoot game that centered on the details in Scriptures about Christ’s resurrection brought as much excitement as enrichment to the audience.  We were reminded of hope as pilgrims.

‘Peace be with you’ recurs throughout St John’s record about Christ’s appearance to Mary and many disciples, Doubting Thomas included.  For details, please read the Gospel of John, chapter 20, verses 19-31.

‘In his disciples' presence Jesus performed many other miracles which are not written down in this book. But these have been written in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through your faith in him you may have life.’  John: 20: 30-31
