Installation of Student Leaders in Office 2025-2026

Following the School Re-opening Mass, our School Supervisor, School Principal, Vice Principals and Assistant Principal presided over the installation of the student leaders in office for the academic year. They presented badges to formally recognise and endorse the newly appointed student leaders.

Sr Veronica, the School Supervisor, conferred the badge upon the Head Girl of this school year, Vivian Chan. Miss Renie Sinn, Miss Irene Yung, Ms Faye To and Ms Paula Kong then presented badges to members of the Head Girl Core Group. Miss Sinn also presented the badge to the Head Prefect, Sophia Lam. Miss Chan Yuk Lin and Mr Anthony Mo presented badges to the three Deputy Heads: Hailey Choi, Queenie Kong and Justine Wong. Miss Sinn, Mr Hung and Student Council Advisers presented badges to the President of the elected Student Council, Soluna, along with members of the Student Council executive committee.

The official party and teacher advisers also presented badges to leaders of other major student bodies. These included the Captains of the six Houses; the Head and Deputy Heads of Guidance Sisters; the Head and Deputy Head of Career Assistants; the Head Librarian and Deputy Head Librarian; the Head and Deputy Head of the IT Prefects’ Board; the Head and Deputy Head of Green Torch; the Head and Deputy Head of Learning Ambassadors; as well as the Head and Deputy Head of Community Service Ambassadors.

In her maiden speech to the school, the Head Girl Vivian Chan drew inspiration from the school song, emphasising that its lyrics represent more than just words – they encapsulate the very essence of the Sacred Heart spirit. Within the song, she reflected on the profound history, which tells of the six Canossian sisters who founded the first Catholic Canossian girls’ school 165 years ago. Encouraging every student to uphold Sacred Heart qualities, she urged them to adopt a great mindset: to embrace adversity, serve with humility, and become global citizens eager to discover the wider world. She concluded by affirming that it is these very values that make Sacred Heartists strong and united.

The ceremony also featured a special acknowledgement of academic excellence. Charlotte Wong, a member of the Head Girl Core Group 2024-2025, was presented the Scholarship for Best Performance in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE). In her speech, she expressed her profound gratitude to the school and the teachers for their unwavering support and guidance. Offering encouragement to the current S6 students preparing for their upcoming DSE examinations, she advised them to diligently seek help from their teachers and to strive for excellence with confidence and determination.

The installation ceremony concluded with the singing of the School Song.
