Sister School Contract Signing Ceremony & Visit to Clifford School

On 1 December 2025, the entire teaching staff of Sacred Heart Canossian College, together with our Vice Principals and Assistant Principal, witnessed the signing of sister school contract between our school and Clifford School, a prestigious school in Guangzhou, China offering a unique bilingual programme for its local and international students ranging from kindergarten to secondary school.

Before the ceremony, a moment of silence was observed for the victims of the Tai Po fire tragedy.

The ceremony, held at Clifford School, began with speeches given by Mr Tan Xiaohua, Head Principal of Clifford School and our Principal, Miss Renie Sinn. Both principals expressed their hopeful expectations for cultural exchanges as well as collaborations in professional development and student learning, fostering friendship and bonding between all members of the two schools.

The contract was signed by Mr Zheng Xiaobing, Principal of the Secondary Department, and our Principal Miss Renie Sinn, under the witness of Ms Wendy Man Lai-hung, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Vice Chairman of Clifford Group, principals and vice principals of the two schools, and Ms Leung Hoi Yan, our teacher in-charge of Sister Schools Scheme. Teachers and students from Clifford School were also in attendance to share the meaningful beginning of new friendships between the two schools.

In attendance at the ceremony also included Ms Elizabeth Law, Chairperson of SHCC Alumnae Association Education & Charitable Fund. The collaboration between the two schools would not have been possible without the tremendous support Ms Law has been giving, and it is with deep gratitude to Ms Law that Clifford School and Sacred Heart Canossian College are able to join hands.

After the exchange of souvenirs, the ceremony concluded with the singing of school song by the Clifford School choir. Sacred Heart teachers had the opportunity for a school tour led by Ms Man, together with the director and principals of Clifford School. The well-equipped facilities, diversity in teaching staff and student achievements certainly left a deep impression on our teachers and much expectation of what comes ahead in the partnership between the two sister schools.
