Christmas Celebration 2025

The Christmas Celebration this year began with an inspiring religious programme organised by the Catholic Society. The event opened with a lively Kahoot quiz based on the birth of Jesus, in which students participated with great enthusiasm.

A highlight of the programme was the 2025 Jubilee Year Pilgrims of Hope video, showcasing physically challenged individuals on a pilgrimage to Italy. Students found this a rare and delightful experience. Annabelle Chan (5F) and Chloe Chung (4A) interviewed Ms Elena Lee, one of the pilgrims, who shared her reflections on the 12-day journey. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to the volunteers who supported the pilgrims and emphasised the joy of being able to help others through voluntary work. Ms. Lee spoke about the importance of kindness, embracing one’s weaknesses, and the power of prayer. She described the pilgrimage as an invitation to experience life fully and to appreciate the wonders of God’s creation.

Following the sharing by Ms Lee, students watched a video Fountain of Love and Life. It is about St. Nicholas, the generous bishop whose acts of charity inspired the tradition of gift-giving at Christmas.

Students were then invited to write reflection cards, each sharing a personal example of how they had shown charity to those facing hardship. Selected students shared their reflections, and all cards were collected for display on campus.

The religious programme concluded with a prayer, followed by a heartfelt rendition of Silent Night sung by everyone present in the school hall. Miss Sinn presented prizes to the classes that won the Kahoot game.

The celebration continued with a programme led by the Student Council, themed around gratitude. To encourage teamwork and strengthen student-teacher bonds, they organised interactive games and presented tokens of appreciation to non-teaching staff. Miss Sinn also presented prizes for the Happy Moments photo competition.

Finally, students gathered in their classrooms to celebrate the festive spirit with their teachers and classmates. They reflected on the meaning of Christmas, shared food and exchanged Christmas wishes with one another.
