Annual Swimming Gala 2025-2026

The Annual Swimming Gala was successfully held on 29 January at Victoria Park Swimming Pool. Following the opening declaration by our principal, Miss Renie Sinn, students cheered enthusiastically for their house swimmers as they competed in the intense and exciting races in butterfly, breaststroke, freestyle, and backstroke events.

Our guest of honour, Ms Li Kong Wai is an award‑winning Karatedo athlete and a former Hong Kong delegate. Ms Li presented medals and trophies to winning swimmers as members of the ceremonial party including Ms Kitty Chan, External Vice Chairperson of the Alumnae Association; Mr Andy Chan, PTA Chairperson; Miss Renie Sinn, Mr David Hung and Miss Chan Yuk Lin presented other medals and prizes.

After a series of fierce competitions, we were delighted to congratulate Individual Champions: Venus Chan (A Grade), Tiana Lee (B Grade), Jasmine Chau and Eunice Tong (C Grade). House of Pankhurst captured both the A Grade and C Grade Championships, while House of Curie claimed the B Grade title. To top it off, House of Curie, having already secured the B Grade prize, was also crowned Overall House Champion of the day. House of Pankhurst won the Cheering Competition.

The wonderful event concluded with an inspirational speech by Ms Li. She expressed her admiration for the energetic cheering of our six Houses and highlighted the wisdom of the traditional Chinese saying, ‘Success is not final; failure is not fatal’. Sharing her own experiences of overcoming challenges before achieving victory, she encouraged Sacred Heartists to persevere and never give up.
