School Re-opening Ceremony 2023-24

Sr Veronica Fok, our Principal extended a warm welcome to our S1 students, new teachers and everyone in the College Hall. She moved on with an introduction to the school theme ‘Learning with Commitment; Serving with Gratitude’ and encouraged all students and teachers to live a happy and meaningful school life this academic year.

The fruit of hard work and perseverance was best represented with the presentation of Scholarship for Best Performance in HKDSE to Lam Tsz Yan, graduate of 2022-23 and Sr Ida Sala Memorial Scholarship for Entrepreneurship to Yip Sum Yu of S6C. Yan shared her insights into learning and striving for excellence with her schoolmates as she expressed her gratitude to the school for providing ample opportunities for all students.

The Head Girl Core Group introduced the Student Companion designed for Sacred Heartists this year. The publication features exemplary graduates with Sacred Heart values: a swimming athlete with fortitude, a law graduate who upholds integrity as she manages assets and an established pianist who serves the needy due to a strong sense of national identity and social awareness, to name but a few. Sr Agnes, our School Supervisor, who embraces the values of the Canossian family, inspires us that the six Canossian schools share unique characteristics and should enhance the ties.

To give students a better start for the new school year, teachers-in-charge of Learning & Teaching, Discipline, Information Technology, Scholarships and Awards, Student Financial Assistance and Extra-curricular activities gave gentle reminders in relation to daily school lives.

The Ceremony drew to a close with the School Song.
