Careers Expo and Mentorship Programme 2022

The virtual Careers Expo and Mentorship Programme on 19 March was graced by the presence of 15 esteemed alumnae guest speakers, all serving in different sectors in their own professions. They shared with our S4 and S5 students about entry requirements of different jobs, their work experiences and the challenges they face in their industries.

Ms Lusan Hung, the former Chairperson of SHCC Alumnae Association addressed the audience with her keynote speech aligning with our school theme ‘Learning with Commitment; Serving with Gratitude’. She expounded on the value of self-understanding, choices of employment and factors affecting where we should work. Above all, Ms Hung suggested that graduates need to nurture a sense of commitment to one’s obligations.

In the breakout sessions, our students were delighted to meet other alumnae speakers, some of whom from the SHCCAA including Chairperson Ms Juliana Sham and executive members Ms Juanie Chan, Ms Betty Lau and Ms Angela Lee. Ms Susanna Chiu, Ms Louisa Lee, Ms Judy Chung, Ms Mary Lau, Ms Amy Siu, Ms Amy Lam, Ms Anna Mak, Ms Grace Lee, Ms Emily Wong and Ms Alice Dai also gave their insightful sharing on accounting and finance, supply chain management, dentistry, training and development, NGO management, university administration, sales and marketing, legal consultation, radiography and architecture.

The Expo encounter was further extended to the Mentorship Programme where students could enjoy a personal and sustainable connection with our alumnae. In addition to career guidance, the mentorship also aims at life planning and fellowship building between SHCC graduates and current Sacred Heartists.
