The Hong Kong School Drama Festival is a highlight on the school calendar for SHCC Drama Club students, and on 9 March, they did not disappoint with their performance of their original play, Unyielding Will. The play, which focussed on the theme of never giving up in the quest for justice, was premiered at the Fun Fair of the school.
The feedback from the Fun Fair performance was invaluable, and led to improvements that saw the team take out several top awards at the Drama Festival. The Outstanding Director Award, for Penny Huang and Charis Chan added to the Award for Outstanding Script, which they also received along with Quinnie Ng, Sofia Ng and Angel Cheng. The performance also garnered awards for Outstanding Stage Effects, Outstanding Cooperation and Commendable Overall Performance.
The success of the Drama Club members at the festival was a reflection of the creativity, cooperation and unyielding will the students put into the play throughout the whole process. It was a rewarding and memorable learning, growing and team-building experience for all.
