S3 Catholic Formation Day

The S3 Catholic Formation Day was provided by the Relgious and Moral Education Department for S3 Catholic students to strengthen their religious faith and reflect on 'Set Life on Fire' further.

Through a series of games and group sharing, S3 Catholic students were reminded of the importance of being alert to the calling from God and responding to it accordingly.  Students were guided to listen to the Word of God humbly and patiently, so that they would be well prepared to closely follow in the footsteps of Jesus who is the way, the truth and the life.  They were also encouraged to support their neighbours to be humble and passionate followers of God so as to set life on fire and make Jesus known and loved.  The spiritual formation day ended with a Taize prayer meeting. Students were led to reflect on recognising God’s calling by saying prayers with good intention and singing hymns.

All S3 Catholic students participated actively and sincerely in the games, group sharing and prayer meeting.  They were able to listen patiently to the guidance of the mentor and to the responses of their groupmates.  Furthermore, they were willing to share their personal experiences with their groupmates on how they responded to the calling of God.  They reflected that they were aware of their own limitations and became confident about improving their relationship with God in the future.
